The stage is set for the return of high-octane track action as the Indian National Car Racing Championship (INCRC) prepares to launch its upcoming season at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam, Coimbatore, starting October 24.

Sanctioned by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), the premier national circuit racing series serves as the definitive proving ground for emerging motorsport drivers, seasoned touring car competitors, and premier racing academies nationwide.

High Stakes on the Track

The championship will feature multiple competitive categories designed to showcase driver skill, engineering setup, and strategic consistency across multi-lap sprint formats. Expected grids include:

- Formula LGB 1300: The bedrock of Indian single-seater grassroots racing, known for intense wheel-to-wheel battles among the country's brightest young talent. - Indian Touring Cars (ITC): Highly modified saloon cars pushed to technical limits, delivering thunderous performance and close manufacturer rivalries. - Indian Junior Touring Cars (IJTC) and Super Stock: Production-based classes emphasizing precision racecraft and mechanical endurance.

Coimbatore's Enduring Motorsport Heritage

Coimbatore continues to hold its status as the operational heartland of Indian motorsport engineering. The Kari Motor Speedway, with its tight technical corners, complex chicanes, and demanding surface, presents a unique challenge to both drivers and race engineers dialing in aerodynamics, suspension geometry, and tire management.

With multiple teams already conducting rigorous simulator sessions and dyno testing, the opening round on October 24 is anticipated to set the benchmark for championship points, team standings, and driver momentum throughout the multi-city racing calendar.
