Bengaluru-headquartered electric vehicle manufacturer Ultraviolette has expanded its high-performance two-wheeler lineup with the launch of the X-47 Venom. Priced at an introductory figure of Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom), the newly introduced model delivers enhanced battery efficiency, aggressive aerodynamics, and a certified Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) range of up to 343 kilometers on a single full charge.

The development marks an assertive step by the mobility firm to consolidate its footprint in the premium performance electric motorcycle space, targeting riders looking for high-torque urban commuting alongside reliable interstate tourer capabilities.

Powertrain and Performance Metrics

The Ultraviolette X-47 Venom is engineered around an updated mid-drive permanent magnet AC motor coupled with advanced liquid-cooled power electronics. The powertrain generates immediate throttle response, enabling swift acceleration that matches conventional middleweight combustion engine roadsters.

Key performance highlights include: * Claimed Range: Up to 343 km (IDC rated) on a single charge * Top Speed: Electronically regulated for sustained highway stability * Riding Modes: Multi-tier power output profiles including Glide, Combat, and Ballistic modes * Regenerative Braking: Multi-level adaptive regeneration switchable via handlebar controls

Chassis and Ride Dynamics

Built on a lightweight trellis frame combined with an aluminum subframe, the X-47 Venom features upside-down front forks and a pre-load adjustable rear monoshock. Braking duties are handled by large-diameter discs at both ends, backed by dual-channel ABS integrated with cornering sensors to prevent wheel lockups during high-speed deceleration.

The motorcycle also incorporates aerodynamic winglets directly integrated into the side fairings, designed to channel turbulent air away from the rider's legs while offering front-end downforce at highway cruising speeds.

Technology and Safety Architecture

The X-47 Venom runs on Ultraviolette’s proprietary operating suite, displayed across a high-definition TFT console. The connectivity package supports 4G LTE telemetry, onboard satellite navigation, emergency crash detection alert mechanisms, and over-the-air (OTA) software diagnostics.

In terms of battery management, the power pack utilizes heavy-duty aluminum casing designed to resist thermal runaways and environmental moisture. With DC fast charging compatibility, the battery can achieve an 80 percent charge in approximately 45 minutes at compatible charging hubs.

Market Positioning

At Rs 2.65 lakh, the X-47 Venom positions itself against premium electric roadsters while simultaneously presenting a zero-emission alternative to 300cc-400cc internal combustion engine motorcycles in the Indian market. Bookings for the new motorcycle have opened nationwide across authorized experience centers and digital booking portals, with initial customer deliveries scheduled to commence in the coming weeks.
