Delhi Driver Stabbed to Death Over Request for Extra Choley; Food Vendor Arrested
A commercial driver in Delhi was fatally stabbed by a street food vendor following a heated argument over an additional serving of choley. Police have arrested the accused.

According to preliminary police reports, the dispute broke out in a busy market area when the victim approached the street-side stall for a meal. After receiving his order, the driver asked for an additional portion of choley, which led to a verbal spat with the vendor over payment and quantity.
Escalation and Fatal Assault
What began as a minor disagreement rapidly spiraled out of control. Witnesses informed law enforcement that heated words were exchanged before the vendor, in a fit of rage, grabbed a sharp kitchen knife used at the stall and attacked the driver.
The victim sustained deep stab wounds and collapsed at the scene in a pool of blood. Bystanders and local shopkeepers raised an alarm and alerted emergency services.
Medical Efforts and Police Response
A police team rushed to the location and immediately shifted the critically injured driver to a nearby government hospital. However, attending physicians declared him dead on arrival due to severe internal bleeding and extensive trauma.
Senior police officials confirmed that the crime scene was cordoned off and examined by forensic units. Investigators have gathered physical evidence, including the alleged weapon used in the assault, and secured surrounding CCTV footage to reconstruct the exact sequence of events.
Legal Action and Community Concerns
The accused vendor was apprehended from the vicinity shortly after the incident. A case of murder under relevant sections of the law has been officially registered at the local police station, and the suspect remains in custody pending further interrogation.
Authorities stated that a detailed probe is underway to determine whether any prior enmity existed between the two individuals or if the homicide was solely provoked by the sudden altercation. The victim's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and his family members have been notified.
