Police in Hyderabad have registered a case and initiated a probe into the unnatural death of a software professional.
A software professional based in Hyderabad allegedly died by suicide following an emotional late-night video call with an acquaintance, local police confirmed on Wednesday.

According to investigating officials, the incident occurred during the early hours at the deceased's residence within the city's tech corridor. The individual reportedly engaged in a video call around 2:30 AM, during which an argument broke out regarding marital commitment. Shortly after the call abruptly disconnected, the victim took the drastic step.

Police Initiate Investigation

Alerted by acquaintances who were alarmed by the sudden disconnect and subsequent lack of response, neighbours and local law enforcement were notified. Officers from the local police station arrived at the premises and secured the area.

"The body has been recovered and shifted to a state-run hospital for a post-mortem examination. We have registered a case of unnatural death and seized digital devices to reconstruct the sequence of events," a senior police official privy to the investigation stated.

Digital Evidence Under Review

Investigators are currently examining call records, message logs, and digital exchange history from mobile phones and personal computers belonging to the deceased. Statements from family members and close associates are also being recorded to determine the exact circumstances that led to the extreme step.

Authorities noted that a comprehensive forensic analysis of the late-night video call and communications leading up to the incident will form a crucial part of the ongoing probe.
