A senior member of the digital media team associated with political strategist Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj campaign was discovered dead alongside railway tracks after vanishing mysteriously during an overnight train journey, officials confirmed on Monday.

The victim, identified as part of the core communications apparatus managing outreach for the campaign, had boarded a passenger train heading across northern rail corridors before abruptly ceasing all communications with family members and colleagues.

Disappearance During Transit

According to initial reports, the media professional was traveling as part of regular campaign-related logistical coordination. Travel companions and relatives grew alarmed when his mobile phone abruptly became unreachable midway through the transit route.

When the train reached its scheduled terminal and the manager failed to disembark, family members immediately alerted railway authorities and lodged a missing person complaint with the Government Railway Police (GRP).

Search teams were mobilized along the train route to trace the last known coordinates of his phone and review platform surveillance footage from intermediate stations.

Body Recovered Near Railway Tracks

Hours after the disappearance was logged, local patrol units discovered a male body lying near the tracks in an adjacent railway division. Following verification procedures and photographic identification by relatives and campaign associates, the deceased was confirmed to be the missing media strategist.

Forensic personnel and senior railway police officers promptly cordoned off the recovery site to collect physical evidence, inspect surrounding ballast and tracks, and determine whether the victim fell from the running coach or was subjected to foul play.
